Weekly Plan: January 31st - February 7th

This Science Weekly Plan has 2 parts:

1st. A Worksheet to review the unit. You have the photocopy already but you can find it below, too. 

Instructions for the Worksheet:

1. Do all the activities. 

2. Use your notes to complete all the activities. 

This Worksheet is very similar to the test we will have soon. 

You must pay attention, read everything carefully 
and let me know if you have questions. 

2nd. An assignment in Elesapiens.

Instructions for the Assignment: 

1. Read the document in Elesapiens "The Earth's Magnetic field".

2. Recreate the document on a small cardboard.

Add the images and the information. 

You can use all the materials you want: plasticine, cardboard, paper, styrofoam, paint, crayons... 

Whatever, but make it nice!!

PATRIMONIO CULTURAL FAMILIAR

Lo haremos mediante una pequeña actividad de investigación familiar. Se trata de buscar un elemento heredado de la historia de vuestra familia (puede ser un objeto material, como un reloj, un jarrón, un muñeco antiguo, pero no necesariamente. También puede ser algo inmaterial como una palabra o frase, poco usual, pero que sea una tradición decirla en vuestra familia. También puede ser algo de vuestra cultura familiar que, sea significativo para vosotros/as.

Una vez que tengáis el “elemento de vuestro pasado” intentaréis responder a estas preguntas con ayuda de vuestra familia: 

• ¿Quién fue la primera persona que lo tuvo?
• ¿Sabes cuándo fue?
• ¿Para qué se usaba? 
• ¿Ahora se usa para lo mismo? 
• ¿Dónde estaba? 
• ¿Está ahora en el mismo sitio?
• ¿Ha pasado de mano en mano?
• ¿Por qué es importante para ti y para tu familia?
• ¿Por qué te gusta?

Your next Weekly Plan consists of three parts:

1. Past Simple (Mo and Snapper) - Irregular and Regular Verbs, Questions

2. Past Simple with AND BUT SO BECAUSE

Use your grammar notes and worksheets from your Important Book to help you complete the exercises.

Take your time and answer carefully because it will be a great review for the Unit 3 Test!

3. Writing Prompt

You have to do a writing, too. Today you got a stick with a writing prompt from the writing box. Use it to write a short text. 

* Remember that you have to write 25-35 words (you can write a little bit more). Your writing has to be clean and clear. Check it after you finish - it will help you to not make mistakes.

- What is "Cultural Heritage?":

Cultural heritage consists of culture, values and traditions. Cultural heritage means a shared connection, our belonging to a community. It represents our history and our identity; our connection to the past, to our present, and the future.

We consider architecture, art, food, recipes, stories, buildings, dances, and festivals all part of cultural heritage.

Cultures try to protect and preserve these things in order to keep their culture alive for future generations.

In this post you have the UNESCO website, where you can see and read information about the World Heritage sites around the world.

In zones, we are going to prepare our class passport, traveling around the world through books and the Internet. We are going to recreate famous places from the country you chose.

You can use this website to look for information about important places in the country you chose for those two activities. You can also use it for your Spanish classes if you have to do some research too.
